What is WiFi Calling?
Instead of using your carrier\`s network connection, you can make voice calls over a Wi-Fi network. This may mean using a Wi-Fi connection you have set up at home or the Wi-Fi hotspot on which you are when you are on the move, for example in a café or a library.
In many ways, it's like any other phone call, and you're still using normal phone numbers.
Why would I want this?
Wi-Fi calling is especially useful when you're in a low-coverage area. For example, when you go to the residential countryside or to a building with uneven reception. You might already be familiar with using Wi-Fi to send messages when texting isn't available (apps like Kik and Facebook Messenger provide these services). The same is true when trying to make a call.
With Wi-Fi, you can call a friend even if you're in a dirty underground bar (assuming you can connect to the bar's Wi-Fi).
Which carriers and phones support this service?
All four major US carriers (T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon) provide built-in Wi-Fi calling. Republic Wireless and Google Project Fi also offer Wi-Fi calling on select phones. The former carries eight Android phones, while five phones (including Google Pixel, Pixel XL and Nexus 6P) run on the latter. If the connection is not available, Republic Wireless is supported by the Sprint network, while Google uses T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular.
All T-Mobile phones offer built-in Wi-Fi calling. As for Sprint, Wi-Fi Calling is available on several iPhone models running iOS 9.1 or later. Several Android devices also have the service, but you'll need to check in your phone's Settings menu to see if you have one.
Does it cost more?
For domestic calls, it costs nothing as such. However, Wi-Fi calls may be deducted from your minute's plan, depending on your operator and plan.
Why need the APP?
Now many retail mobiles have the \ Wifi Call\ function but no menu entry to enable it, APP can check the hidden function and enable it if it can be used.
How to use the app?
1. Start the application and click on \Wifi call settings\
2. Click on \WLAN call\
3.Click on \ENABLE\ a WLAN call
4. Click on \WLAN preferred\.
5. \Wifi Calling\ is on!
