Our BETA release of Bubble Bloom, the first in a suite of Shaftesbury Technology's Positive Distraction Games, alleviates situational stress and anxiety by transforming a child's environment with the power of play. Bubble Bloom will help children aged 6 to 15 deal with stress, isolation, and loneliness.
Designed as a fun and interactive way to direct focus and reduce anxiety, the player's objective is to blow bubbles and catch the fish swimming around the player in the bubble, along with an enchanting soundtrack that provides a calming and beautiful environment for the player to become immersed.
Our goal is to engage families who are interested in finding alternative solutions to dealing with stress. We hope to gain feedback and insight from our at-home audience to improve our product. A version of the game is currently being tested as stress relief before day surgery.
How to Play
When played on a tablet or phone, pick up the device with the screen facing towards the player and move the device, and the "magic window" allows players to view 360º content without a virtual reality headset.
With straightforward interaction, use the red dot in the middle of the screen to interact with games and the world around you!
Created as a durational experience, you can play for as long as you wish. A Companion will accompany the player in every adventure – look and hold the red dot in place on your Companion to exit the game.
For the best immersive experience, we recommend to dim the lights, reduce outside sounds, and to wear noise-canceling headphones.
