Google has just released a winter update that gives its Pixel smartphone models new features. Overview of these novelties. Google regularly releases feature upgrades for its Pixel smartphones. As an end-of-year gift, the American giant released an update earlier this week that included several notable new features. This is now available for all supported Pixel phones with current security and performance enhancements. The update also includes several new features, as well as extending functionality to older Pixels.
The Pixel 5 launched with a "Wait For Me" feature, which uses the Google Assistant to put a Pixel 5 owner on hold whenever they call a free business number. With the update released earlier this week, Google is extending this function to all previous models, up to the Pixel 3. The same goes for Extreme Battery Saver, a tool that would limit the number of apps that can run when the phone's battery begins to run out, in an effort to prolong its life. Google's Duo video calling app benefits the screen sharing in group calls with the latest feature. To use it, you must be connected to Wi-Fi or a 5G network. Google Photos receives a new tab when editing a photo, which offers suggestions for editing it. Perhaps the most notable improvements are in your phone's wireless connection, battery usage, charging, and audio quality.

The amazingly new Feature

Adaptive Sound, for example, will use your phone's microphone to assess the acoustics of the room you are in and fine-tune the equalizer settings for "certain" applications. This kind of capacity is normally reserved for high-end smart speakers, but it makes a lot of sense to have it in a phone. The Pixel 5 and Pixel 4A (5G), meanwhile, get new adaptive battery settings that help judge whether you're going to miss your next typical charge and make adjustments to keep the battery going longer. Additionally, Adaptive Charging will improve battery health by controlling the rate at which the Pixel phone charges, much like Apple has done for the iPhone in recent years.
Finally, the 5G models, i.e. the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4A (5G), will now switch from LTE to 5G depending on the app you are using. Google uses the example of texting or browsing the web with 4G LTE, but switching to 5G when you start streaming a movie or downloading files. This should help extend the life of the battery. Other features are included in the update, such as new wallpapers, new app icons, and a new translation.
