As the general interference page shows, a number of online services such as PayPal, Spotify, Amazon, Twitter and Twitch increased problems this morning. Users complained about major log-in and usage problems on social media. The malfunctions are probably due to problems with the Fastly Services.
Reported locations with disruptions in Germany include Hamburg, Munich, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Bremen and Frankfurt am Main . Thus the disturbance does not seem to occur only in isolated cases, but in places throughout Germany ; The live malfunction map also shows problems with the services in other countries around the world.

British and American news websites, such as the New York Times and the BBC, are also badly affected. Furthermore the error message was displayed instead of the content. Even the British government was hit at one point. Because of the internet frustration the British "Guardian" wrote on Twitter that its website is currently "affected by a major Internet failure", but will be available again as soon as possible.
It is not yet known when the problems will be completely eliminated. "We are currently investigating possible effects on the functionality of our CDN services," said the Fastly website in the morning. Later the provider announced that the problem had been identified and would be resolved. After about an hour, the websites gradually came back online. At around 12:57 p.m., a status page from Fastly said that the error had been fixed.
